Frequently Asked Questions…
Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together.
If you don’t see your question listed here or are ready to schedule your consult, contact me.
-
I am located in near Porter Ranch, California and I work with clients online (via Tele-health) throughout the State of California.
-
I am typically in sessions from 10 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday (PST).
While I do not offer weekend appointment slots (unless you'd would like to schedule a three day grief/trauma intensive), I will make every effort possible to accommodate evening availability as needed.
-
Yes, I am currently accepting new clients. However, I maintain a small caseload so that I can provide the excellent quality of care that I feel all my clients are entitled to.
-
I do work with couples, however I will say that my philosophy around couple's work is that it has to be short term --no more than 20 sessions (from intake to closing), MAX!
The purpose of couple's counseling is to enhance your resiliency through communication, problem solving, emotional regulation, and processing attachment injuries and traumatic experiences. I will provide you with as many tools as possible for your toolbox for you to foster an even stronger connection with your partner long-term.
-
Currently, I am an all virtual practice. Sessions occur over a HIPAA compliant video platform.
-
Online therapy is just like in-person therapy, except from the comfort of your own home/work/safe space. A link to the Telehealth session will be sent to you via email once an appointment is scheduled. Simply click on the link at the time of your appointment.
Research has also proven that tele-therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy.

Same fees apply for both individuals/couples per session
$200 for an Initial 55 minute Evaluative Consultation.
$200 for a 55 minute follow-up session.
$250 for a 90-minute follow-up session.
Payments are processed once we've met for our session.
-
Yes, I do provide sliding scale option, and would be happy to further discuss it with you during our consultation.
-
I am credentialed with straight Medicare as well as Aetna and Cigna in the State of California.
I am considered an out-of-pocket provider for all other commercial insurance plans. However, I would be happy to support you in submitting claims through Thrizer or providing you with a super bill.
Please note, Thrizer claims will be based on insurance plans and benefits. On average, individuals are reimbursed 70% of their therapy sessions through Thrizer. To confirm your insurance out of pocket network benefits, I recommend calling the number that's on the back of your insurance card.
-
I require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation or rescheduling appointments.
Please notify me via text or email if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Late cancellation or an appointment rescheduling request is defined within 24 hours of your session, at the time your session is scheduled to begin.
Any late cancellations/reschedules or no-shows will result in full fee payment for the missed session.

On January 1, 2022, Congress enacted a “No Surprises Act”. It is meant to protect insured consumers from surprise medical bills when they inadvertently receive care from out-of-network hospitals, doctors, or other providers that they did not “choose”.
I am an “out of network” provider for all insurance companies. You will always be made aware of the cost of sessions with me via my website, consent forms and through verbal confirmation directly with me. I am and will remain clear and transparent about the costs of services agreed upon. You may ask me directly about any costs about which you may be unsure, and you will be provided with clear and direct information and answers to your questions.

An Initial Consultation is a 55 minute appointment with me. It is a conversation to get to know you and what concerns and potential goals you may have.
We decide together if I am the best match for what you are wanting and if I am not, I will help you find alternative options.
-
We will meet once a week to start. Some clients benefit from twice weekly or sessions that last longer than 55 minutes (ask me about therapy incentives).
I do not believe that people need to be in therapy for years on end, In fact, I am strongly opposed to it.
Most of my clients choose a few things to focus on and we work on them for about 8 to 12 months to make the changes they want and feel good about.
